B’nei Ohr Tallit

After four awesome years weaving prayer shawls for you all, it’s time for me to make a change. As of 11/24/2024 Black Cat Judaica is closed indefinitely.

The B’nei Ohr tallit was created in the 1950’s by Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi, who was inspired by the Midrash: “How did G-d create the world? He wrapped Himself in a robe of light, and it began to shine.’ It has been recreated by many producers of tallitot in the 70 years since its genesis, and Black Cat Judaica has entered those ranks! The B’nei Ohr Tallit is available in both our Standard and Gadol sizes, and is woven out of 100% bamboo.

• Note: Due to the custom and handmade nature of this work, listed order times are estimates. Please allow at least six months of lead time in advance of a deadline such as a b’nei mitzvah, ordination, or wedding.
